Burlington Elementary

Positive Behavior and Mentoring Programs

Burlington has a positive behavior system called STARRS. We also participate in the national program called Kids Hope USA.

STARRS

Kids Hope USA®

Kids Hope USA is a faith-based program sponsored in conjunction with St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, which is adjacent to Burlington Elementary. A mentor from the church is assigned to one student and meets with that student weekly throughout the school year. Mentors communicate with parents and teachers to promote increased academic and social growth.

The first Kids Hope USA program in the St. Vrain Valley School district was implemented at Burlington in 2000. You can find more information about this national program at: http://www.kidshopeusa.org/Brix?pageID=420.
