Health InformationThe Burlington Elementary health office is located inside the main office. Our health clerk, Rebecca Upthegrove, verifies and maintains immunization records and other required health records for each child, monitors the administration of medication, and tends to playground injuries as necessary. Ms. Rebecca also helps children celebrate the loss of each primary tooth that comes out at school! Health Requirements for Burlington StudentsColorado law requires children in school to have an immunization record on file and to have the required immunizations. Make sure your child has the required immunizations before school starts. For a list of immunization requirements by grade, click on the appropriate link:

Give your child a good foundation for optimal health by modeling and encouraging these practices in your household:
Medication PolicyAll medications must be kept in the health office. These include:
Students can carry lip balm, cough drops, and lotion with them. These items are not to be shared with others. If you have any questions, please contact our Health Clerk, Rebecca Upthegrove, at 303.776.8861 x2012, or by e-mail at upthegrove_rebecca@stvrain.k12.co.us. Towel Donations AppreciatedAt the beginning of each school year, the health office collects kitchen or bath towels to be cut up for ice packs. Any color that doesn’t bleed (usually any color other than red!) is acceptable. Thank you. Student Health InsuranceWhile St. Vrain Valley School District does not offer health insurance, the District has selected UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company to offer student insurance programs. This insurance is affordable, and may be of particular interest to parents who do not carry health or accident insurance on their children. Various plans and options are offered through the company.
